This is a super rare pass to the Pan American Exposition on thick yellow stock which allowed access to varoius midway attractions on the expo grounds. It is signed by Miss Rebecca Darling and was charged to the account of the Pen and Pencil Club of Philadelphia; there is a date stamp of June 25, 1901 on the front.
This yellow and green pass has beautiful ornate graphics on it and measures 4" by 2 3/4". And if you look closely on the back, you can see that it has been rubber stamped with the names of several midway sideshow destinations like:
A Trip to the Moon
The Airship Luna
Darkness and Dawn or Heaven and Hell
Expo passes like this are EXTREMELY difficult to find! This gem is in really nice condition and is a super scarce collectible and display piece!

A marvelous deluxe publication, Buffalo Cinderellas is an unparalleled, extremely detailed, fully illustrated hardcover with over 400 images, over half of which are in vivid color! The book is an invaluable asset to those who collect these treasures, and you can find it in my eBay Store right now; there are a few Standard Classic Edition books still available at this time! (From time to time I have one of the signed and numbered Limited Editions available; if interested, contact me to inquire.)
Background: The electrifying 1901 Pan American Exposition in Buffalo, New York offered a spirited message of hope and possibility. Over eight million people flocked to the spectacular Pan Am, and there were substantial opportunities for businessmen to profit.
Two very different people did so by creating souvenir "cinderella" stamps for the event. One was a reputable man who sold over four million Expo stamps and became a respected philatelic expert; the other was a traveling charlatan who later drifted into the darkness of forgery and swindling.
Their riviting stories and adventures jump off the pages. And the items they created, that are an ever increasing attraction to stamp collectors and lovers of intrigue alike, are beautifully pictured and precisely detailed inside the book too!
Don't miss your chance to add this nice item to your collection today and BE SURE to check out my eBay Store to see lots of other Pan American Exposition collectibles, many which have just been marked down!
