 I have been involved with communication equipment since 1973. After being frustrated with the performance of various scanner antennas that I have purchased over the years, I decided to use my years of experience and love for scanners, to create the antenna that I wanted. I first created several concept antennas. I used identical scanners to compare signal strength. After many different styles and prototypes, I finally created what I had been searching for... the MAXX-TENNA antenna. I am now picking up stations, vehicles, boats & planes that I could not receive with other antennas. The MAXX-TENNA is more than just a great antenna... it has features, materials and accessories that don't come with other antennas being sold. It is the antenna that I wanted but, could not find. Note: Coax losses shown above are for 100 feet lengths. Loss is a length multiplier, so a 200 ft length would have twice the loss shown above and a 50 ft length would have half the loss. This multiplier factor is why you should keep cable installation lengths between radios and antennas as short as practical!

 

 

 

·   Each MAXX-TENNA is made using RG6 100% shielded white coaxial cable. This provides much less signal loss and allows for longer coaxial cable runs (if needed) than RG58 cable (used by other antennas.)  *see the chart on the right.

·   The MAXX-TENNA has a connector near the antenna base which allows for easier installation, more flexibility and an option for additional coaxial cable. This allows for optimum positioning and installation.

·   The MAXX-TENNA has 20 feet of cable included with a convertable straight or right angle BNC connector on one end (to attach to your scanner) and a twist-on "F" connector on the other end (that attaches to the antenna.)  The twist-on connector is removable which allows for more installation options.  (Additional cable lengths are available... see my other listings.)

·   The MAXX-TENNA has a heavy duty zinc plated eye that allows for hanging of the antenna as an installation option.

·   The MAXX-TENNA has custom tuned 100% solid copper helical 3-D elements sealed in a durable pvc wind and weather resistant shell.

·   The MAXX-TENNA can be mounted indoors, outdoors, in vehicles, on boats and it is perfect for RVs.

·   The MAXX-TENNA works with any scanner (Uniden, Realistic, base, mobile or hand-held) that has a BNC antenna connector (I have adapters available if your scanner has another type of connector. Please contact me for more information)

·   The MAXX-TENNA includes 2 clamps for mounting to a wall or flat vertical surface, 4 coated screws that will work in wood or masonry installations, 10 cable clips for securing the coaxial cable, 2 suction cups, 2 plastic zip ties and a F-81 barrel connector (for adding cable extensions.)
