This dealer owned 60's Maccaferri is a Museum quality find in mind blowing original condition. It checks all the boxes. It has been a part of my personal collection for many years and now is time for someone new to enjoy.
In its original labeled box included are the owners manual and pink and blue tasseled strap.
It is in my professional opinion that all is original and unused.
Its a super low action guitar and plays somewhat buzzy on the bass side but but that can be easily rectified and with the movable compensated bridge it has excellent intonation. At this point if you are going to play it then I would slip a thin shim under the saddle since you have plenty to work with because of that forgiving neck angle. I would be happy to do that free of charge if you like. The thing is it is still 100% original and plays well and easy in the first couple positions. (again a shim is not permanent and this can be set up to be a stellar player in my opinion) The banjo type friction tuners hold tuning quite well and the guitar itself has a warm pleasing tone with even order harmonics. Maccaferri was a pioneer of injection molding but before that made his name at the turn of the 20th century first crafting award winning violins in Italy then later designing revolutionary guitars popularized by Django Reinhardt. His creations at that time were quite pricey being a master builder. At some time I believe shortly after WWII
He conceived a way for children around the world to enjoy string instruments they otherwise could not afford. Plastics and injection molding afforded that opportunity and he began with violins and ukes and finally guitars. Compared to today wooden instruments were many times more expensive then even adjusted for inflation. The crazy thing is that these were marketed as entry level but were way under rated and their quality well exceeded their valuation. He was a Saint. Okay I could go on and on.......
This could be the best example left on the planet for this model.

The original box will be wrapped in plastic then bubble wrap surround inside the shipping carton which will be taped around all the seams to prevent any moisture leaking in.
