I have made and own several LUXKIT A3700 series, and I restored and reassembled an 8045G stereo single amplifier I made a long time ago as a KT88 push-pull stereo amplifier.
The transformer, choke coil, electrolytic capacitor, and mechanical parts are original.
The output transformer is OY15-3.6KHP
. Most of the diodes, input volume, balance volume, and small CR parts that are prone to deterioration over time are new and reliable.
The four coupling capacitors are stock Toichi oil capacitors with high sound quality ratings.
Also, the unpopular output terminals for this model have been replaced with a type that can use banana plugs and thick cords. (Original output terminals will be included if necessary)
The output tubes KT88 are made by GEC and GOLD LION (GEC) in the UK, and although there is a decrease in the getter, they are very stable and in good condition with good emission and well-balanced current for each tube.
The amplifier circuit is set and adjusted with the original Lux (NEC) first stage tube ECC85 (ZENITH) and driver tube 6240G recommended for the A3700 type.
The output tube KT88 is connected as a triode and operated with a light plate current of 40mA, but both channels have been confirmed to output 35W at 1KHZ 8Ω.
A copy of the assembly manual for the A3700, including the circuit diagram, will be included.
(There are instructions on how to make 6CA7 and 8045G, and you can enjoy making push-pull single amplifiers, including ultra-linear connections.)
After restoration, we ran it for about a week and confirmed that it was working steadily with no residual noise. I am quite satisfied with its performance as a main amplifier.
