Hi! here for sale is part of a huge government auction sale. For sale as shown in the pictures of x17 U.S. Military M40 Field Protective Masks, x1 MCU-2P Mask, and an unissued New M17 Gas Mask.
Almost all masks come with filters, some appear unused and even with plugs in them still. Most of the masks have second skins already installed, and included are about 11 brand new ones, all marked Medium/Large new in the bags still. There are a few, about 4-5 still floating around here still, if I find them (I'm cleaning now) I'll toss them in the box as a gift, free of charge!
As seen, almost all the masks are missing parts, as to what parts are missing I got no clue, but they did come with a box of a bunch of parts. A LOT of valves, disks, plastic pieces, valve guards, etc. I was told (MOST) of these masks can absolutely be used (IF) repaired with the parts, however some masks absolutely cannot. Some are permanently damaged (refer to photos). To answer one of the most asked questions, almost all these masks are dated from the very early 90's, presumably used in the golf war. To answer another asked question, yes! some of them do have Black inner nose cups while some others are green. Almost all the masks are pretty roughed up, they appear to be candidates for damaged replacements so upon purchasing, do what you will with them! you can fix them up and resell them at full price, repair them and use them, clean them up and collect or display them, fix them up and toss them into a bunker, whatever ya want! they are a mixed basket regarding sizes. There are some size Small's, quite a few size Medium's, and even a handful of Size Larges, which are extremely rare to find MILITARY Size Large M40's that aren't FR-M40's, which are made with a much cheaper silicone material, so to collector's there are those too!. Included in the lot as well appears to be a Tanker's M42A2, with It's entire kit intact. Filter, filter linking cap, hose, mask, skin, tinted lenses, bag, and accessories. Most of the masks are already fitted with second skins, outsert lenses, etc, and included are additional outserts (both clear and tinted) new in the bags!. There are also a few carriers, don't worry about the M17 or the MCU-2P, they aren't included in the price. They are there to just get rid of extra stock so treat them as gifts ^^.
