This locomotive plate is made of aluminum and has some flaking in the red & gold paint. The complete inscription reads “7839 LIMA LOCOMOTIVE WORKS INCORPORATED OCTOBER 1941”. It has two homes for mounting.
The back of the plate is stamped “MSU Railroad Club” which makes me think this is a plate made by the club. It is a great piece of railroad history memorabilia!
