The LJ8900W side mount garage door opener is meant for light duty commercial applications. Replaces LiftMaster's previous model 3900.
Door Requirements:
- 1" outside diameter torsion bar
- 4-6" drums. Not to be used with tapered drums over 6"
- High lift up to 54" or 14' standard sectional door
- Doors up to 18' wide
- Doors up to 180 square feet
Installation Requirements:
- Must have minimum of 2.5" between the wall and the center of the torsion bar.
- Must hvae a minimum of 3" between the ceiling and the center of the torsion bar.
- Must have a minimum of 8.5 between the side wall and the end of the torsion bar.
- The torsion bar must extend at least 1.5" past the bearing. May vary depending on your installation requriements.
- An electric outlet is required within 6' of the installation area. If one does not exist contact a qualified electrician.
- Depending upon building constructions, extension brackets or wood blocks may be needed to install safety reversing sensors and cable tension monitor.
- Alternated floor mounting of the safety reversing sensors will require hardware (not provided).
- Any gap between the floor and the bottom of the door must not exceed 1/4", otherwise the safety reversing sensors may not work properly.
