Lift the Dot hole punch tool
Made of heavy duty nylon with steel cutters. Used to cut into the canvas and act as a hole punch. Making the installation of eyelets and washers an easier process. This tool has been designed and manufacture by J Clarke Marine. A fraction of the cost of the next tool on the market. It is not designed for jobs where hundreds of punches are needed but is an excellent choice (for a fraction of the price of more expensive hole punch tools) for repair work and smaller jobs where dozens of punches are needed. It will last well for smaller jobs if used right.
How to use
This tool will punch the holes in your canvas in the shape of the Lift the Dot eyelet to make fitting the eyelets a simple task. A useful tip is to have a magazine under your canvas, some people use a block of wood but I find placing a magazine or similar between the wood and canvas helps. Then place the tool in the area you want to cut the hole and strike with a hammer. The tool will then punch through your canvas and a few pages of the magazine.
This is the worlds first. Made by J Clarke Marine Ltd. This tool has been trailed and tested and has just become available for purchase in 2019.
This Lift the dot tool is to be used only with Lift the Dot fasteners and eyelets. Will not fit DOT Turn buttons.
