This bass was caught by me in a Lake Wales Bass Club tournament in July 1980.  It was caught by casting a 7 1/4" Black Grape Woods worm into the holes along the weed-line on the south side of Bird Island. I used a Lew's G-56 Speed Stick Rod with a Bantam 100 Reel strung with 14# Stren line.


At the time I was lucky enough to be able to spend much time on the water.   Living in Lake Wales and fishing Lake Kissimmee was like being in HEAVEN.
