This is a nice, large example of a hard-to-find US trilobite. It is a complete specimen of Pseudodechenella rowi from the Devonian of New York. This classic specimen was found years ago and just acquired recently. The distinct trilobite is quite prone and preserved in a 3-dimensional manner. The bug is wonderfully articulated and has excellent, dark exoskeleton preserved. The deep brown/black fossil contrasts beautifully with the lighter grey LIMESTONE matrix. Although there is some damage to the right side, there is NO RESTORATION to this specimen whatsoever. This is a very cool and collectible Pseudodechenella rowi from New York State.
