Large Antique Swedish Gustavian-School, Hand Carved Gold Gilt Wood Wall Clock NR

…… After a quick optical search we found out that this large impressive Wall Clock is in the style of an 18th-century Swedish Gustavian Clock. At first we thought it was from the Gustavian-period (circa 1775-1810) however based on the works and looking closely at the carving we are confident that this clock was made in the late 19th century or early 20th Century. The design of this large, impressive Gold Gilt, Carved Wood Clock would also look wonderful among Hollywood Regency decor. Measuring 29” tall by 16 1/2” wide by 5 1/4” deep this wall clock is in very good original condition, however there are some small areas of loss and some touch-ups to the gilding. There are also three tight hairlines to the wood frame around the 8” painted dial, which does have a couple of very tiny knicks. The original glass bezel is missing, and the old mirror back behind the column and starburst rays has some reflection loss. When we wound this clock it started running, however we do not have the original pendulum. We manually advanced the hands and it strikes a bell on the quarter hour. Once the pendulum is replaced this clock will be ready to use in your home. The brass works are only marked "W278 P30 37 6" and when we searched online we found Junghans works marked with W278, but the works in this clock are not marked Junghans. We do NOT make a profit off of shipping and try our hardest to charge only exact costs, based on eBay's provided shipping calculator. Please be aware that we fully insure every irreplaceable item we ship, so an additional fee will be added at check-out based on the final value of the auction. We require signature-delivery on all items valued at over $250, which entails an additional $6 fee. As stated above, we DO NOT profit from shipping costs; however, we DO take extra care in properly & professionally packing every one-of-a-kind item we sell!

After you win an auction:

eBay requires that we post tracking information within 24 hours of receiving payment. If there is any reason that your item should not be shipped immediately (Pick-up, Delivery, or Still Buying) Please DO NOT pay until you have received a local pickup invoice! If you have WON MULTIPLE AUCTIONS and would like them shipped together, DO NOT pay until you have contacted us and received an updated invoice. If you are picking up your item(s) in person:

A delivery or pick-up date must be scheduled within 30 days of the auction closing. After this 30-day period, a storage fee ($20 per day) will be applied. Any items stored for more than 6 months will be re-listed.

Making payment:

Payments must be received within 5 days of receiving an invoice. If payment or contact from the buyer isn't received within 5 days, an eBay dispute will be opened. This dispute will be closed within 4 days after being opened, and the item will be re-listed. If you need to make arrangements for delayed payment, please contact us. We will work with you!

Sales Tax:

Shipping requirements:

US Buyers: The shipping calculator on the auction is an estimate, and actual charges will be figured at the close of each auction. Our standard method of shipping is UPS ground; however, if you prefer USPS, this is also an option. Any item that sells for over $250 must be sent with a signature required, and if you choose USPS, it will be shipped via express mail.

International buyers: You may incur a brokerage and customs fee upon delivery. The winning bidder is responsible for the cost of shipping and all customs charges. We WILL NOT LIE on customs forms. If your item arrives damaged:

The buyer must save ALL materials and boxes so we can file a damage claim! Please contact us promptly after receiving your package so we can start the claim process quickly! Once the damage claim is approved, we will send you a full refund and await the funds from the carrier on our end. Failure to save all materials, give the necessary information, and supply photographs required for us to make the damage claim will effect your refund.
