Was dropped and had to have a jeweler tighten the hinge.  Few marks, scuffs, and scratches.  A little wobble in the top at the point of the hinge but still in Very Good condition as a display piece or can be used.  For its size it is a heavy piece of crystal. The hinge mechanism is heavy duty but does have a little play from the weight of the lid.  The crystal lid sits securely in the bezel with no play.  Inside of the bezel shows where the stress chipped the gold coating but outside to the aesthetics everything functions well.  A couple of bruises to the crystal which are a little hard to notice and some light scratches and scuffs.  Still in my opinion a exquisite piece.  The imagery is to die for as far as I am concerned and I owned over 400 Lalique pieces.  These round containers are a class by themselves.  Retailed for over 400.00 originally in 1999 when I purchased it.
