If you served in Kuwait and your unit assisted the KSS, then you know. Kuwait State Security (KSS) is responsible for performing all counterterrorism functions. The country works closely with U.S. law enforcement partners to mitigate all CT threats posed to Kuwait and U.S. interests inside Kuwait. In 2023, KSS arrested five suspected terrorists with associations to ISIS or al-Qa'ida.
