Kustom Signals Falcon HR K-Band Handheld Cordless Police Radar Gun - MPH+KPH

This is a used Kustom Signals Falcon HR Handheld K-Band Radar Gun.  Radar is in good physical condition with typical signs of use and wear from being a field-used unit. It can be powered by batteries (one included) or via a direct 12vdc lighter-plug cord (not included). I cleaned all button contacts on the unit so all buttons are working properly.

Radar powers on and passes all self tests. I aimed it at several moving objects and it was able to record speed. Unit reports accurate speed for test tuning forks as well. The LCD display is working properly, no missing elements at all. Backlight is super bright making unit easily readable in dark environments.  To turn on the blacklight, press the TEST then MODE menu. The battery sits in a bit tightly so requires a little effort to remove it, but it's otherwise OK. There's a small chip on the back plastic near one of the screw mounts.

This unit is directional and can let the operator choose which traffic they want to capture, additionally it will let the operator know which direction the vehicle is travelling. Unit also has "Fastest" target option available.  The unit will also support Moving mode, although for moving mode you must have the optional dashmount or POD adapter on it as moving mode will not work with the power-cord handle.

Calibration is not assumed or warranted in any way, no calibration history is available.  All batteries sold with the unit are used and sold as-is with no guarantees on battery life or longevity. Most battery shops can replace the cells inside of these batteries as well. During my testing the battery charged to capacity as indicated by the LED on the charger and was able to power the radar without the need for any external power.

This unit can be configured to report in MPH (miles-per-hour) or KPH (kilometers-per-hour). The user manual which can be found on the internet shows how you can change the standards.
