Our knobcone pine slices are meticulously crafted from the Pinus attenuata tree, with each slice carefully selected from the branch end of the cone (one premium slice per cone). These un-sanded and unsealed slices are ready for your artistic touch, perfect for jewelry making, crafting, and more. Sizes range approximately 1.5–2 inches wide/long and 1/4–1/2 inch thick. Sustainably harvested in the mountains of Northern California, our slices are treated with organic tung oil to preserve moisture during shipping, and are insect hole free. To maintain freshness, store them in the provided baggie in the freezer. Order when you are ready to get creative! Some natural opening may occur. The natural pine sap adds a UV effect, and can be easily dissolved with oil or alcohol.
