Keychain Aviation tag MiG-21U
Made in Kyiv, Ukraine 2025
The MiG-21 is one of the most famous fighter jets in the world, which became a symbol of the Cold War. More than 11 thousand units have been assembled over the years, and many of them continue to serve even in the 21st century. In particular, the MiG-21U model is a two-seat training version that was used by Soviet and export troops.

This particular badge was cut from the fuel tank lining of an airplane manufactured in 1965 at a factory in Tbilisi. The aircraft belonged to the 702nd Training Aviation Regiment of the Chernihiv Higher Aviation School, which was based at the Uman airfield. After the collapse of the USSR, the fighter was transferred to Ukraine and served as a training aircraft until the early 1990s. In 1995, the aircraft was decommissioned and dismantled.

It was only in the fall of 2024 that an engineer who had worked with MiG-21s all his life helped the Fuselage team remove the remains of the fuel tank from the fuselage. It is from this metal that a series of tokens were made. Each of them depicts a diagram of the aircraft, its serial number, and the logo of the Ministry of Aviation Industry of the USSR.

This is not just a souvenir - it is an authentic piece of military aviation history that has passed through decades and geopolitical upheavals. And now it is in your hands.
