OEM KAWASAKI CHAIN AND SPROCKET STOCK SIZES;

2003-2004 ZX6R/ZX6RR OEM size is 520x108 o-ring chain, 15t Ft. Sprocket, 40t Rear Sprocket

For QUICKER gear ratio (off the line, roll on's, wheelies), use a 14 tooth front sprocket and a stock size rear sprocket. OR a larger rear sprocket and a longer chain.

-1t front sprocket is the most versatile way to gear it quick, this way you can switch back to the stock size with the same length chain. This quick ratio will be much quicker, but slower top speed with higher freeway cruising rpm's.

For FASTER TOP SPEED, and LOWER FREEWAY RPM's, Use a 38t rear sprocket. (36t for a more extreme change)

A nominal change (-2t rear) is a variation that will make your bike only slightly slower off the line. The (-4t rear) is a more extreme change that will make it slower off the line, but even lower highway rpm's.

* A 1 tooth change in the front is equivalent to a 3 tooth change in the rear.. but opposite effects.

* A 1 tooth change in the rear is a very slight change.

EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front = +3 teeth rear) or (+1 tooth front = -3 teeth rear)

EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front and +1 tooth rear combined is the same as +4 rear only without changing the front)

STOCK GEARING is the factory calculated "happy medium" of both low end acceleration and top end speed.

JT Ft. Sprocket also available in 520 x 14 and 15 teeth

JT Steel Rr. Sprocket available in BLACK in 520 x 36, 38, 40, 42, 43, and 45 teeth.

520 Rear Steel Sprockets are available in SILVER in 43 and 46t
