The KAVS Motorsport Lightweight Crankshaft Pulley is a fantastic addition to your R52/R53 Cooper S, whether or not you’re already reaping the benefit of one of our Reduced Supercharger Pulleys or Enlarged Alternator Pulleys.
Our Lightweight Crankshaft Pulleys are forged, solid units; far superior to weaker, machine cut pulleys, as offered by our competitors, which can be prone to failure. The last supercharged Cooper S rolled off the production line in 2008; meaning that many of these cars are getting on; many of which are already over a decade old. A common problem due to aging is that the rubber starts to fail, severely reducing the reliability of your engine.
The OEM crankshaft pulley weighs approx 2600g (2.6kg) - in comparison, the +2% KAVS Motorsport Lightweight Crankshaft Pulley weighs just 550g (0.55kg)!
Why do we offer larger pulleys over standard?
As you reduce the size of your supercharger pulley, seeking higher performance, you increase the demands on your crankshaft; spinning it faster than its usual operating speed. By enlarging the size of the crankshaft pulley, you allow the engine to work at its normal pace, reducing the rotating mass within the engine, while still delivering the higher boost you have gained by introducing a smaller supercharger pulley to the powertrain.
The end result is more reliability, reduced engine drag, higher horsepower and torque figures; with more efficient power delivery.
To truly enhance the power and efficiency of your MINI’s engine, combine all three of our pulleys;

A brand new crankshaft bolt must be used during installation. Please note that this is an un-dampened pulley, and you must be aware of the risks in running an un-dampened aftermarket pulley, as a replacement to the dampened OEM pulley.
Installation is made easier by baking the pulley in the oven at 120C for approx 10 minutes, then fitting straight on whilst hot. Please note that a new crankshaft bolt should be used during installation.

Polyurethane Bushings Vs Standard Bushes
Note for products with Polyurethane bushings;
Polyurethane bushings can improve a car’s handling, but can also stiffen the road, increasing noise and vibration to the cabin. If this is a concern, please do not upgrade to polyurethane bushes, or seek advice from ourselves or other owners before upgrading.

As with many companies, Orranje Performance receives a lot of packaging protecting the items that we purchase from suppliers. We hate waste, so we have taken the decision to reuse as much packaging as we can to reduce the amount that we throw away. This means that, where possible, we may reuse packaging to ship items to you, which could mean that the bubble wrap, foam packaging or outer box isn't brand new. Please don't worry though; we will only reuse packaging if we are confident that it will offer the protection your item requires.
Instructions
Not all items include printed instructions, as manufacturers move towards online instructions to save wastage. Unfortunately eBay does not allow us to link to external sites / files on our listings. If you require instructions, please contact us and we will be happy to send them to you, where available from the manufacturer.

Delivery
We strongly advise that fitting appointments are not booked until the items have been delivered to you.
Although we make every effort to deliver items within the timescales stated, we cannot guarantee that couriers or delivery agents won't fail in their duty to deliver goods successfully and on time. The delivery contract is between Orranje Performance Ltd and the courier, however Orranje Performance Ltd may require the customer's assistance to provide evidence or other information to the courier.
In the event of an item being lost during delivery by the courier, Orranje Performance Ltd are unable to send out a replacement until the courier confirms that they cannot locate the item or the item is returned back to us. In this instance we would advise the customer re-orders if they require the item sooner, and Orranje Performance Ltd will arrange a full refund once the original item is returned or confirmed lost.
If ordering from abroad, please ensure items are legal / can be imported into your country. Refunds will not be provided if items are confiscated and disposed of by customs.
