Camera manufacturers, including Nikon, frequently utilise adhesive to secure screws during the assembly process. The adhesive deteriorates and causes the screw threads to rust over time, resulting in difficulty when attempting to unscrew. To reduce the likelihood of stripping the screws, please consult our comprehensive step-by-step guide.
- Step 1: Prior to unscrewing the screw, apply a small drop of solvent to the screw to soften any adhesive and dirt.
- Step 2: Gently tap the screw with a wooden mallet. This can help releasing the oxidised threads.
- Step 3: Apply continuous downward force on the screwdriver to ensure that the screwdriver tip is securely gripping the screw head.
- *Re-do step 1 and 2. If no luck, apply heat on the screw head might help. Do not apply heat or strong chemical when optical elements are presented.

You may return the item unused and in its original condition within 30 days from the purchase date. Please note by original condition we mean the item must be in all of the original packaging and labels must be in good condition so the product can be resold at full price. The product must not be used. We will provide a refund ensuring your product meets our terms and conditions. After 30 days from the purchase date you are no longer eligible for a refund.
We do not accept international "change of mind" returns. Please contact us on eBay message, we are sure that we can work out a solution.
If your product develops a fault within 30 days of purchase please contact us and we will provide replacement parts or a full replacement if necessary. By faulty we mean unusable, broken or not as described.
