Jalapeno makes foods special. These are great dried 1/4 inch flakes and are wonderful in sausage especially with our no melt cheddar cheese. I like to use one ounce of peppers with 10 pounds of sausage to start. So the 5 ounces will do about 50 pounds of sausage with a good taste and medium heat. I re-hydrate the dry peppers in water for 5 to 10 minutes before adding to my sausage. This is a good buy with our price of $12.99 for 5 ounces.
