Historic Imperial Japanese Showa 刀 Katana Sword Sign 'Mishina Yoshiaki-Saku', Fine Temper, Forged Quenched Type Blade Shows a Very Interesting Active, Fiery, and Frosty Hamon (Temper Line) Visible Into the Tip with a Spectacular Grain Offset the Type Wanted for Cutting; the Tang is Signed 'Mishina Yoshiaki-Saku' and Exhibits a Showa Stamp (WWII Era Production) and could have used nontraditional methods or accessories for forging; one mounting hole, Nice Koshirae Furniture, Iron Tsuba with Signature, Fuchi and Kashira Embellished with Gold Decoration - This Good Quality Candidate Remains in Excellent Eye Appealing Polish with some surface stains and blemishes visible; the Blade Measures 26 1/2 Inches (Habaki is easy to remove), 35 from the Tip to the Top of the Tang, 36 1/2 with the Tsuka (handle) Mounted, and 38 1/8 Resting in the Wood Lacquered Saya (some chipping as shown) - Very Nice Condition for the Age as Photographed with wear as seen.
