I have acquired a Trailer Load of Thousands of Don Hume Leathergoods. These are CLASSIC & VINTAGE NEW, old factory stock, Never used, never sold to the public.
Items offered and in EXCELLENT, fully serviceable condition, as the day they were made.
Some however were facotry overuns or 2nd choice, often for just a misplaced stitch, or slightly wrong color match to standard. There may also be some very minor marks from storage and handling.

COMPANY INFO:
DON HUME LEATHER GOODS, of MIAMI OKLAHOMA
has been a holster maker for Since the 1950's. A former La Mesa, California
Police Officer and later a San Diego County Deputy Sheriff,
Don always had a bent towards law enforcement equipment.

Don has always made an excellent holster, and his products
are well known throughout the West.
Don, a more unassuming and less flamboyant type,
started his holster business in La Mesa, California. It sprung from his hobby of
making holsters while in the Navy in the early 1950s. He opened a "garage" shop
during his next 7 years while serving in the local
police departments
Later he devoted his full time to his business and moved to Miami, Oklahoma where he operated out of a 10 acre, 25,000 square foot building.
He perfected the rugged rigs of his day, and created new styles
and developed new ideas as the company grew.
He worked at various times with the likes
of ELMER KEITH , BILL JORDAN and other
famous shootists of the old days in holster designs and patents.
The biggest footnote in Holster History for the Don Hume Company would
probably be the development and marketing of the BILL JORDAN BORDER PATROL design, and having it overseen by Bill himself, a personal friend of Don Hume.

This is a USED, 1970's vintage DON HUME, of Miami, Oklahoma, with removed brand,
PLAIN BLACK FINISHED LEATHER, SNAP/SWIVEL gun holster. Made from full grain cowhide, this holster was made for Police or Security Uniformed duty, but is light enough to serve as a field holster as well.
This is a full snap swivel holster. The hardware on this holster is CHROMED.
The holster is last version of the model H704, and dates back to the 1970's.
It slides on a Sam Browne type or duty belt, 2.25" wide. This has the wider, contoured 6" belt loop, for a more stable draw platform.
It features Ammo loops, for .38/.357 Rounds. A total of 12.
It also has Nickel D-Rings, making this compatible with a shoulder strap.
You can use without them, or even remove them easily.
The belt loop and swivel drop the holster about 4" below the belt line. The shank is molded and steel reinforced on the inside. The holster has been wet molded to fit the gun with an exposed trigger guard and low in front to handle target sights. The holster has slicked, welted and finished seams for a professional finish. The muzzle is closed.

This holster features a 360 degree snap swivel, which was designed to swing across your lap for ease of carry and access while driving or sitting. In the snapped position, the holster has a butt forward combat presentation.
Your gun is secured with an INSIDE snap and strap.
