We have a HUGE vintage plant Botany / Phytology (anatomical) model from some school in the Philadelphia area. It is about 22" tall by 17" wide along the base and about 5 1/2" thick. It appears to be a cross section of a plant or plant stem and shows great detail in the 3D model -- some of the features are quite deep (see photo). it is hollow, but a heavy 8.25 pounds and is pretty solid -------- maybe made of Latex or wood. It has a metallic sticker that says "SARGENT -WELCH SCIENTIFIC CO" and more info that is cut off. This was high quality made, and is from one of the oldest scientific companies in the world. The detail is amazing and the conditions is great with some minor edge and corner chipping and could use a cleaning, but no damage or repairs. Great display piece for a Botanist or plant lover. This guy is impressive.
