Up for sale is a very large antique early 19th century handmade cast iron mortar and pestle.
This rare example features a gorgeous silhouette with a large circular foot, is cast out of very thick iron weighing 13 pounds, has acquired a lovely patina from age.
It has its original solid iron pestle, is leaded underneath, and is in great condition.
The mortar measures 6 1/2 inches wide by 6 1/8 inches tall.
The pestle measures 10 1/4 inches long by 2 1/4 inches wide.
