I have been seeing cases where the rocker arm holder has severe wear and must be repaired by brazing additional material onto it in order to maintain the proper cam to head clearance. This takes additional time and welding supplies, hence the higher price. After some experimentation, I have found this to be the best way to restore the cam holder back to factory specification. The soft brass is effective in providing a bearing surface for the cam and yet is long wearing. See pics for a better idea of this process. Send me your damaged head, a NEW cam and a damaged rocker arm holder and I will heli-arc weld the cam journal areas, braze the rocker arm holder and then finish machining the pair with a special 20.00mm reamer to achieve the proper factory clearance for the cam. Your Honda will run quieter, longer and with more power after this repair. Please have all new parts on hand and ready to ship BEFORE you hit the BuyitNow button! Save that head, save money and get that bike running for a fraction of the cost of a new head! Fast turnaround time too! You could get your parts back in a week or less, depending on how far you are from MN. Shipping back to you is free too, even Alaska and Hawaii.
