This is a k-type thermocouple wire with Kapton insulation, which is good up to about 400 degree C Celsius or 752 degree F Fahrenheit. This k-type thermocouple wire can be used to make your own thermocouples for a wide range of applications, or to make your own extension wire. The chromel alumel wire is made to standard thermocouple specifications. This is a solid thermocouple wire with 1 filament AWG 24 or 0.51 mm diameter. It has a good flexibility and can be bent to shape. It is sold in 5 yard increments, so if you order 2 units of this, you will receive a single 10 yard long wire.
