Partial Introduction
This volume shows Victor's scenes taken along the Oahu Railway's main line that extended some seventy miles from downtown Honolulu to Kahuku on Oahu's North Shore. After leaving Honolulu the line passed Pearl Harbor and continued to the junction at 1 Waipahu where OR&L's major branch line, to the pineapple fields in the center of the island, left the main fine. From Waipahu the main line continued westward through seemingly endless sugar cane fields until it reached Oahu's rugged Leeward Coast. There the line turned in a northerly direction and followed the coast through Waianae and beyond, along the most scenic portion of the line, until it reached Kaena Point where it turned eastward toward the sugar mill town of Waialua. Beyond Waialua, the main line passed through Haleiwa and skirted beautiful Waimea Bay on the way to its terminus at another sugar mill town, Kahuku.
