I am offering a Guardian Service Hammered Aluminum pot with Glass Lid.
This pot is approximately 7 3/4 inches in diameter not counting the handles. With the handles this pot is just under 10 inches across at its widest point. The pot is approximately 3.25 inches high without the glass lid. I see no chips or cracks on this glass lid. There are some rough spots on the edge of this lid. I can feel them with my finger, but they are very hard to see visually. There seems to be a small U shaped crack toward the center of this glass lid. Please see pictures.
In its day, Guardian Service Cookware was acknowledged as a superior quality product line. Originally from Los Angeles, California, made by the Century Metalcraft Corporation, Guardian Service Cookware was offered primarily through the presentations, demonstrations, and sales pitches of independent salespeople. These products were sold from around 1930 to 1956. It was in 1956 that a fire destroyed the factory, and production abruptly ceased.
