The Grace Self Adhering Ice and Water Shield is a self-adhered, peel and stick substrate composed of aggressive, rubberized asphalt adhesive. It is designed to protect under slate, tile, cedar shakes or metal roofing as well as under conventional asphalt shingles. This adhesive is backed by a layer of cross-laminated, high-density, polyethylene film that is coated for slip resistance. A foldless release paper covers the rubberized asphalt surface and protects its adhesive element. The foldless release paper is simple to remove during the application which allows for the rubberized asphalt to bond tightly to the roof deck, completing the peel and stick process. The split release on-demand component is created through having Ripcord embedded in the adhesive.
