This fine ADMIRAL DEWEY BUST ON SCROLL BASE Milk Glass Covered Dish:
- has well-modeled top cover in high relief depicting a bust of Admiral Dewey; with large moustache, full head of hair, and uniform jacket. The scrolled base is an artfully modeled boat with curling waves;
- is mold formed pressed glass, well modeled in deep relief with very good design and detail, and is Milk Glass or opaline with opalescence and “fire”;
- has a fitted rim between top and bottom; the has an inside rim ledge projecting up from the bottom so that the top slips neatly inside the edge of the base to hold it secure;
- is unmarked.
