This is a wooden incense smoker made in Germany (GDR) circa the 1960's-1980's in the Erzgebirge style. Somewhere along the way he lost his legs and feet which included the pedestal that the incense cone would be lit on. The smoke then exists his mouth as if smoking the pipe he holds. This still might work pretty well by placing the cone on a plate then place Santa over it. It can also be considered a figurine for Holiday decorations, it just looks like Santa has a long coat. He holds what looks like a little candle holder in his right hand. It is in excellent condition and was probably never used for incense since it has no odor or smoke discoloration.
