SIGMA G5RV Full Size Superior Poly Weave Wire Antenna Fully Assembled

The SIGMA G5RV Full Size HF Wire Antenna is an HF Amateur Band, Receive and Transmit Antenna, covering 80m to 10m bands. It’s overall length is 102ft , and should be fed with good quality 50 Ohms coaxial cable (recommended feed length of 45 or 90 ft). The ribbon cable should hang downwards and forms part of the radiating antenna. To achieve optimum results, this antenna should be mounted as high as possible, either horizontally or in an inverted “V” formation, with the centre mounted at least 36 ft from the ground. The superior Full Size G5RV comes fully assembled & ready to go. Also, the Poly Weave wire will not kink and is extremely strong. Excellent for use where space is limited, good for unobtrusive garden or attic installation and also highly recommended for Short Wave listening. UK manufactured and supplied complete with ladder feed and Dog Bone fittings.

About Us

From humble beginnings making TV antennas in the garage, Terry spotted a gap in the CB market with most kit imported from America. So in the late '70s, efforts were focused on designing and manufacturing CB radios and antennas and selling from a local shop. During the '80s the market really took off and Paul joined his father, moving to their first premises and creating Sigma Euro-Comm Limited.

Through listening to our customers requirements, we're constantly looking at how we can improve and innovate our CB offerings and now boast one of the most extensive range of CB antennas, supplying to both end customers and trade partners across the globe.

Home to the original, and in our opinion, still the best, the Sigma Stinger which was one of the first products that rolled off the production line back in the 90s, followed over the years by our best selling X80 and 360 HF vertical antennas.

Despite our growth, all our products are still made right here in our factory in the heart of Birmingham.... just a much bigger site to the one we had back in 1990!

FAQ's

These are some of the most common questions we get asked by our customers:

How do I protect my antenna from the elements?

We always recommend protecting any exposed areas of your antennas, such as the UNUN box, with tape or another waterproof material. The sea air and extreme cold will over time have a detrimental affect on exposed areas.

Do I need an ATU for my antenna?

Many of our antennas will perform much better with the use of an ATU. We do have antennas that will need an ATU such as the X-80, HF-360 and HF-360XP. Please contact us if you are unsure if your antenna choice will require one.

How do I mount my antenna?

Vertical Antennas: Work best when mounted on a short metal pole at ground level. You can mount 10 - 20 feet up but the higher you mount, the further away the antenna moves from it's natural earth.

CB Mobile Antennas: Our Stinger antennas will require a mount depending on how you wish to mount it.

In the unlikely event that you are not happy with your purchase, or if it does not suit your requirements please contact us via eBay using the automated managed returns process.
