Purchased on my 3 week trip in 2002 to France, Spain & Portugal. This hanky was made in and purchased in France. Handmade beauties were purchased and now offered here for much less than I paid for in 2002. There will be over 100 hand made pieces I will be listing including hand and fingertip towels, monogrammed hankies and also including the last of the embroidered wedding hankies I purchased. You will also find coaster sets, placemats and napkins, cordial slipper sets, card tablecloths and dinner tablecloths and napkin sets. Some textiles were used in my home but most are new without tags. Most textiles were purchased in Spain and Portugal with only a few pieces, like this hanky, made in France. The French textiles were extremely expensive and waited till Spain and Portugal to shop and shop. Please return frequently as I will be listing every day in June. This Wedding Hanky is one of the last I purchased on my two vacation and shopping trips I made to France in the 90’s and 2002. The price is not negotiable. The hanky is now vintage and best yet…never used. Absolutely gorgeous. It truly is a piece of history. The hand work of those years are now machine made. I watched the ladies hand embroider and their talent today is art. Their exquisite intricate embroidery work is the perfect accessory for the bride or bride’s mom. I went to bridal showers and gave these to the bride and her mother. If you have a daughter that will marry one day, put this away. It will be the perfect mother to daughter gift to give her even in 10 or 20 years from now. Also, makes a great gift for a bride to give her Maid of Honor.
