This is an upgraded beef from a higher quality source for a more enjoyable meal. The meat was frozen after it was processed by a USDA facility. It was then freeze dried from -10F to 90F and the lower temperature ensures it is not cooked while going through the freeze dryer process. A low amount of salt is mixed in the meat at the USDA facility. This ensures it quickly rehydrates well. You can rehydrate in the refrigerator or outside. It could be cooked with an inexpensive, portable alcohol burner using isopropyl alcohol as the emergency fuel or a portable propane burner. The meat was never allowed to thaw out once frozen from USDA facility. The meat will expand once rehydrated and reviews on this meat say it has little shrinkage when cooked and people rated it 4.7/5 in quality.
Individually vacuum sealed and each patty has its own oxygen absorber to soak up any residual oxygen after vacuum sealing. A resealable Mylar bag is included too.
