With this vinyl overlay decal you can change the hard-to-see rear facing with white lettering on a chrome background to forward facing with white lettering on a Black or Brown background. Or change it to black lettering on a White, Gray, or Desert Sand background. If your numbers and letters have worn off, this vinyl overlay decal will bring your control panel back to life.
Fits all chrome panel Fender Blues Jr's with the small pilot light hole built from 1995 to present. All the holes are already cut out. Very carefully remove your knobs, clean the panel well, peel your decal from the backing, then line it up and lay it down on the chrome panel. Smooth it out, starting from the middle and work your way to the edges. The decal has a laminated matte finish, so the lettering won't rub off. It ships in a hard stock photo envelope, so it arrives safely to you.
This decal is available in two versions, Please read the following carefully to make your choice:
The Standard size version, 12 1/2" X 1 7/8", lays over the top of the faceplate without having to drop the chassis or remove the back panel. This version is the easiest to install though it may show a little Chrome around the edge. Some customers have used a black Magic Marker to fill that in.
The Oversized version, 12 7/8" X 2 3/16", so you will have to take off the back panel and remove chassis before you apply the decal to the faceplate. This version tucks nicely underneath the edge of the cabinet for a real clean look. This is the one you want if your doing any mods to your amplifier since you will already have the chassis removed.
If you choose the black or brown version, I would recommend painting your knobs white or cream so they contrast against the dark ground. But if you go with the white, gray, the desert sand version you can leave the knobs black.
I do have faceplate decals for Blues Jr's III and IV with the large pilot light hole. Please see my other listings to find those decals.
