Field tested on thousands of airboats in the Florida Everglades for over 37 years. Steelflex is an Epoxy bottom coating unlike other competitor coatings. Steelflex toughness and durability proven on airboats since1961.

Long life - Can be rolled, brushed, or poured and spread.

Coverage: About 30sq.ft. per gallon

Epoxy solvent free coating for:

• Steel-Aluminum-Fiberglass-Concrete-Wood-Styrofoam
• Strong Adhesive-Abrasion and Impact Resistant-Flexible is a 2 part component equal part mix
• Coverage is approximately 30 sq. ft. per quart.

PREPARATION:

1. The best preparation is to sandblast the airboat and then grind the metal surface with a 24-grit disc. Make the surface as rough as possible and wipe it clean with lacquer thinner or denatured alcohol using the 2 rag system (Wipe On/Wipe Off).
2. For fiberglass, the rougher the better. Do not over rough the fiberglass or you may go too deep causing holes. Use your best judgment. Blow off fiberglass and if possible, wipe it down with acetone.

MIXING:

1. Mix equal parts of #1 and #2 Steelflex 9X. Thoroughly mix down from the sides and bottom of the container.

Electric drill mixing does not mix the two parts together, causes air bubbles

Hand mixing is best.

"IT IS NOT HOW FAST YOU MIX BUT HOW THOROUGHLY YOU MIX IT".

Mixing is the most important part of the application.

NOTE: IF USING A COLOR, REFER TO THE LAST PARAGRAPH BELOW.

APPLICATION:

1. Immediately pour out the mixture over the entire bottom of the surface and spread evenly.
2. DO NOT USE BELOW 65°F.

DRY AND CURE TIME

DRY: Approximately 6 hours.

CURE: 48 hours.
