If you need more adapters:

Why the use of adapters from metric to US standard is important in USA and Canada?
The body of F56A1 Control Valve originally designed with BSPP (so named "metric") threads.
NPT threads differ from BSP threads in the tooth angle, which is 60 degrees instead of 55, and the edges are more pronounced. Another difference is in the pitch: NPT threads have 11.5 threads per inch while BSP threads have 11 threads per inch. Other words they don't actually fit each other.
So to prevent possible leaks along the threads and increase the reliability of your project, the use of adapters is must.

Description

Part 1: Common Features of F63C1, F63C3, and F68C3

These Runxin automatic control valves share a core engineering platform built for water softener applications. The following features are identical across all three models:

Ceramic Disc Sealing Technology

  • Extremely reliable sealing (flatness ≤ 0.0003 mm)
  • Long service life
  • Exceptional resistance to chemical corrosion and abrasion
  • No rubber seals or pistons — reduced maintenance and failure rates

Operates Under Water Pressure

Switching operations (e.g., service to backwash) can be performed under full line pressure (0.2–0.6 MPa) with no need for pressure release.

Five-Step Regeneration Cycle

  1. Service – Water flows downward through the resin bed to the service line
  2. Backwash – Water flows upward to lift and clean resin
  3. Brine + Slow Rinse – Brine drawn into resin bed, displacing calcium/magnesium
  4. Brine Refill – Brine tank is refilled with clean water
  5. Fast Rinse – Clean water flushes resin and prepares for next cycle

No Water Bypass During Regeneration

During regeneration, all service ports are sealed. No untreated water passes into the household supply, preventing scale or hardness contamination.

Note: For applications that require raw water to remain available during regeneration (e.g., irrigation or external supply), an external motorized bypass valve can be installed. This valve must be electrically connected to the Runxin control board to synchronize open/close actions with the regeneration cycle.

LED Display with Logic Board

  • Clock display
  • Regeneration step indicators
  • Error codes and alerts
  • Power-loss memory (retains settings indefinitely)

Power Requirements

12V DC power adapter included. Power is only used during valve rotation—no continuous draw during normal service.

Installation Compatibility

  • Fits standard 2.5" – 8 NPSM tank thread openings
  • Uses 1.05" (26.7mm) OD riser tube
  • Standard 3/8" or 1/2" fittings for drain and brine lines
  • Compatible with most residential softener tanks up to 18" diameter

Part 2: Differences Between F63C1, F63C3, and F68C3

Regeneration Control Method

Model Control Type Trigger Method
F63C1 Time Clock Regenerates at fixed intervals (e.g., every 3 days at 2:00 AM)
F63C3 Metered Downflow Regenerates after preset volume is treated (delayed or immediate)
F68C3 Metered Upflow Same as F63C3, but with upflow regeneration; supports salt-saving features

Flow Direction

Model Flow Style Description
F63C1 Downflow Brine and rinse flow top to bottom during regeneration
F63C3 Downflow Same as above
F68C3 Upflow Brine flows bottom to top — targets most depleted resin first

Meter & Resin Settings

  • F63C1: No flow meter, no tracking of treated volume
  • F63C3 & F68C3: Turbine flow meter, allows resin volume & water hardness input, calculates remaining capacity

Advanced Programming Features

Feature F63C1 F63C3 F68C3

Application Suitability

  • F63C1: Best for basic residential softeners with consistent daily usage
  • F63C3: Ideal for variable-use households and light commercial setups
  • F68C3: Designed for high-efficiency systems seeking salt savings and upflow operation
