FINE SCALE (1/18^th–1/48^th): CDkit package insert indicates sizes for ‘fine’ scale models that can be printed on 35mm – 60mm slide film.

The finest detail is there. You’ll need a microscope to see it.

F5A Freedom Fighter - When you finally saw an F5, you already had a missile up your butt. CDkit shows F5A(G) version used by Norway. Most were later upgraded with AN/APQ-153 radar and provision to jettison pylons as F5C (Skoshi Tiger). At mach 1.3 F5C was faster than MiG17 and MiG-19, and close to the MiG21 with superior maneuverability over all.

F5A was also in Greece, Mexico, Philippines, Spain, and Turkey.

F5E/N Top Gun USMC aggressors NAS/MCAS and USAF Fighter Weapons school (Nellis AFB) used ex-Swiss F5E Tiger IIs. These F5Es were equipped with downgraded AN/APQ159 radar fitted to an MFD, but used only synthesized AIM9 to trounce F14s and F15s at ‘close-in combat.’ F14s with AMRAAMs made it even at 1:1, F15s better at 2:1.

Emerson APG-69 and APQ159 radar images are included in ‘F5 CDkit set’ and fit in the same space on either panel.
