HOW TO SECTION
- Clean/sand excessive adhesive from end cap lip; do not sand any composite material from the lip as that is what secures your end cap in place.
- Clean barrel channel/lip with mineral spirits (alcohol, goof off etc.,) and wipe the lip of the end cap off too.
- Put a layer of Adhesive (3M Marine Adhesive 5200 or stronger) in the channel of the barrel lip; this can be a liberal amount of epoxy through the channel. Also put a paper thin layer on the lip of the end cap (this will save you some clean up time).
- Secure the end cap onto the barrel. You can turn the barrel up side down and pop it into place on a thin carpeted floor or such (do not use this direction with any other cap besides ours, you risk breaking your end cap).
- Wipe off all excess epoxy if there is any. If there is any space between the lip of the end cap and the barrel you can clamp or put weight onto the end cap as it dries. Any excess epoxy can being easily pulled off after drying.
