Please read carefully and check with the pictures, as there are 2 types of rear mounted egr valves ( older Ford ZSD engine item # 110965139730)

   Thanks for looking.
This is made from 1.5mm 304 Stainless Steel. It has been rumbled to make it smooth and give it an abraded surface that also helps give a better seal, plus removes all sharp edges.
It gives a cleaner pick up at lower revs because it stops exhaust gas being recycled. If the EGR valve is playing up, then the improvement can be quit dramatic. The engine management light will sometimes come on because of blanking the EGR but is rare, but will not go into limp mode if it does. Volvo's do have a problem with it coming on, as they have different software ( it says "Engine System Service Required"  but doesn't go in to limp mode - info from a Volvo Master Technician ). I also list it with a hole in to keep the engine management light/warning of - item number 121253753435.
I also have it listed in Aluminium - item number 110907922480

This fits:  The PSA  DW10 BTED4 2.0L (not the older DW10 ATED4 or Euro 5 DW10 CTED) 16 valve(1997cc) engine only ( known as Duratorq in Fords), pictured in headser pictures fitted in:
  FORD     Focus
                 MK4 Mondeo
                 C-max, S-Max
                 Galaxy
                 Kuga

PEUGEOT  307
                  308
                  407
                  3008
                  5008
                  607

  CITROEN  C4
                   C5

  VOLVO    C30  ( it is a D4204T in the Volvo's) All with or without A DPF/FAP
                  C70
                  S40
                  V50
                  V70
                  S80
Please note the info on Volvo's. I do list it with a hole in to keep to warning off ( item number 121253753435 )
If the light was on before fitting the plate because the valve is stuck open, then the light may still come on, as the valve is monitored as to whether it is open or closed, via its electrical connection. Unplugging it will not help, as that will most probably put it into limp mode. Fitting the plate should not put it into limp mode.
PLEASE CHECK THAT IT IS THE  ENGINE IN THE PICTURES, as the later DW10 CTED engine has a very different EGR system on the front of the engine under the inlet manifold with a throttle body, and the oil filler cap is on the left of the engine, not on the right rear as pictured. Item number 121605863156  for them

WILL NOT fit the 8 Valve engine (# 110934076443)
or the 16 valve DW10ATED4 that has a Aluminium inlet manifold

Easy to fit blanking plate, fits between EGR valve and exhaust gas recirculate pipe and there is no need to remove EGR or recirculate pipe to fit, 10-15 minute job. Remove the engine cover ( pull to the front and up slightly) Just undo the two nuts( but not take of), pull the EGR pipe up, slip the plate in, and re-tighten the nuts. There is no gasket fitted from new. On some cars it can be very hard to get at- my 307 SW 136 was a pig as it was about 200mm under the screen, but still only took me 10 minutes. Hence the slots.

Benefits of blocking EGR

   1.  Cleaner engine oil helping to give longer engine life.

   2.  Turbo spooling up quicker, and at lower revs

   3.  Prevents soot build up in intake manifold, and valve's, which will lower the power

   4.  Smoother drive

   5.  Less smoke, so will help it pass the MOT (UK)

   6. The DPF stays cleaner for longer, if fitted

Will NOT fit 2.0 Mondeo  FORD ZSD engine with the EGR valve on the lower rear of the engine ( exhaust side) or the Transit FORD engine with the EGR valve on the lower rear or end of the engine above the gearbox, (item #' 110965139730 for these).
Also will NOT fit 2.0LMondeo and Transit  (FORD ZSD engine) with the EGR valve< on the front of the engine, ( item # 110903465359).

Note this is for diesel only, not petrol

Any Q please ask, happy to help, message or phone

Great service thank you, EGR was never a problem but the car runs much better with it banked off & I fitted it in 3-5 minutes on my Mk4 2.0 140 bhp Mondeo which is fantastic. The car has a K & N air filter already so the pair work a treat! No eml light on, only been fitted a couple of days so far & local runs round town ect, but I've got to go on the M1 this afternoon, just come back from a nice run & the power pick up & smoothness of the engine is much improved, even local mpg has crept up! well pleased if it keeps up, & I would recommend anyone to try it

Hi there, I bought one of the EGR blanking plates last week. I just wanted to say thanks - I felt feedback wasn't sufficient.
It arrived the next day and was just as easy to fit as you said.
Straight away, the annoying surging and hesitation on acceleration the car had suffered disappeared. Ford hadn't been able to sort it (naturally...) but this did.
So thanks for a good product and fast delivery.

Many thanks and regards, Jim

  Dear bertye1958,

Just want to thank you for the product to blank of the EGR valve of my Ford S-Max 2.0 tdci. The result is well beyond my expectations! Fuel economy dropped by as much as 15 percent and I can now drive in sixth gear at 80 kmh without the engine protesting. Also driving away with low revs is no problem any more. It used to be like if the engine choked probably caused by the EGR valve stuck in the open position. Also at 2000 rpm the engine started knocking and that problem is solved as well.
One comment on your very thorough instruction/description. It takes only 5 instead of 10 minutes to install!
Thanks, and I will tell everybody how happy I am about this very simple but very effective product.

        Yours sincerely,Tim Janssen -------------
Hello,
I received the banking plate for my 2006 Peugeot 2.0 EGR, I was sceptical that it would work, additionally some claim up to 15% fuel reduction.
Well it is all true, after installing the blanking plate my fuel consumption has gone from 7.8 liters per 100 KMS to 6.2, it pulls like a fourteen year old and no longer surges at low power.
ECU is happy with the change, 300 KM trip today and no warning lights or issues.
Thanks for a great product, simple to install, it would have taken less than 5 minutes to install, if I hadn't dropped it down the back of the engine bay,,,,,,,,,, for me add an extra 10 minutes to find it
.

Thanks, Joshua3608  (Australia)
