This is a vintage US.RE24163 PATENTED MADE IN SWITZERLAND gas lighter from the brand Dunhill, a brand synonymous with craftsmanship, design, and gentlemanliness.
The combination of the lapis blue color is elegant and fashionable, and the glittering gold color is an eye-catching gem for adults. This series is the most popular one by far and items in good condition are becoming scarce. The price has been getting higher and higher since last year, and it is a must-have collector's model that fetches a high price even if it is resold!
The mechanism has been fully cleaned, polished, ultrasonically cleaned, replaced with 3 new high quality FKM fluorine heat resistant rubber O-rings, gas stopper packing, and special gas filter, greased with fluorine-based grease, and tested for gas leakage and airtightness.

There are some scratches and scuffs on the lighter. Please enlarge the photo to confirm. The surface is in very good condition and the lapis blue pattern is very beautiful. The inside is also in good condition and in good shape.
Please note that although the product has undergone a full overhaul and is in good working condition, when the top cover is closed, it shifts slightly by about 0.5 mm. (Please refer to the photo.)
The slightly shifted top cover can be easily returned to its original position using your index finger or similar.
To reiterate, the slight shift in the top cover does not affect the functionality of the product.

【dunhill lighter maintenance information】
◆The flint in the gas roller lighter is a Dunhill Red Flint LA1000R.
Inexpensive flints are hard and of varying sizes, which can stick to the roller and damage the file, making it difficult to produce a spark. Hard stones are a no-no for vintage lighters.
◆To replace the flint, push the V-shaped part at the back of the upper screw on the file towards the lid,and the part where you insert the flint will open up. When the stone runs low, add more
◆ Always use the Dunhill Gas Refill (LA 2107) to refill the gas with the white adapter provided.
If you are concerned about the high price of the manufacturer's product, we recommend the Windmill Gas Refill, which you can use at your own risk.It contains a high-purity gas with built-in activated charcoal, and is a blend of isobutane and normobutane,which are also used in winter mountaineering burners, and it has outstanding flame color and low-temperature ignition. Good-quality gas has stable heat and is the secret to long-lasting performance! Cheap gas contains a lot of impurities, and if you use it for a long time, the inside of the burner will become sticky, causing the gas valve to jam and problems with the heat.
◆To inject gas, push the round part at the bottom and turn it to the left to open it. There are two types: one with a guide pin and one without. Place a rubber mat on the floor, place the adapter in first with the gas inlet facing up, and then push the gas cylinder in firmly. It is recommended to measure the amount of gas with a digital meter until you get used to it!
◆If the flame is small and you can't adjust it with the dial, turn the main gas adjuster in the keyhole on the bottom a few millimeters to the left with a precision screwdriver to increase the flame, and vice versa for a larger flame. (Normally, no adjustment is necessary.)
◆The amount of sparks from the file and the performance of the gas are proportional to the one-touch ignition! If the sparks seem weak, open and close the flint case! The flint is pushed and the sparks fly well. Cleaning the stone residue with a small brush will improve the ignition rate
◆ Repeatedly opening and closing the lid roughly with one hand will cause the lid to become misaligned or the hinge to malfunction. Open and close gently with both hands or your thumb, and snap it shut with one hand.
