Another really nice old-growth salvaged Pacific Yew round from western Oregon! Sustainably salvaged from a large burn area. Lots of character and great colors! This piece has 40+ rings per inch and has some nice pippy sections with a dew knots, and great orange brown colors.
Really dense chunk of yew wood! Sealed ends and seasoned for 3+ years indoors. Bone dry and ready to use!
There are a few checks/splits and missing bark.
Pacific Yew wood finishes really well and polishes to a high mirror shine if desired! It's very hard and dense and an absolute treat to make things with. It's a very special and beautiful wood, and my all-time favorite for so many reasons!
