This is a digital k type thermometer for contact temperature measurements. This scientific thermocouple thermometer is great for use in classroom in school, college or university and can be used on a large range of science projects. It can be used in chemistry, physics and earth science class. It also is great for industrial and manufacturing applications and can be used in the HVAC trade.

It has two inputs for K-type thermocouples and can display the temperature in 0.1° steps. It has a wide range of industrial and business uses as well. It can be used in HVAC trade to check air conditioners, heaters or furnaces with high precision. With the extended measurement range it is also great for industrial applications, metal working, science projects and the laboratory. It also can display the temperature in 3 different systems of measurement: Degree Fahrenheit °F, degree Celsius °C and K Kelvin.

It can measure very low temperatures and also very high temperatures. It comes with two 3 ft (1 m) temperature probe TC-1, this has a green Teflon based plastic insulation and works up to about 392°F (200°C), and two 6" (15 cm) k-type stainless steel insertion probes TC3, one with a yellow, the other with a black handle. This stainless steel temperature probe can be used from -328 to 1292°F (-200 to 700°C).

But any other K-type temperature probe with miniature K-type thermocouple connector can be used.
