Dietz #2 D Lite w/ shield and red lens like inspectors / track walkers ? tubular

Dietz No 2 D-Lite, with a shield like an inspectors lantern but a large red lens in the back like a track walkers, specialty use ?   Cone, burner and fill cap all remove easily, wick moves easily, bottom of burner is signer Dietz Made in USA, fill cap is signed on top Dietz, Made in United States of America, Globe is clear unsigned, Lantern is solid and tight, seems to be missing a clip on the globe lifting mechanism, last date I see on right tube looks like 1937, maybe a light cleaning and an oil coating or just light oil to preserve.   Ask questions if you have any or ask for more pictures as this is not a lantern I know much about.
