Racing Radiator Guards sponsoring #120 Paul Brown in No Limits Racing Cup 2017 -BMW S1000R

There are some guards I dont do, and some people have aftermarket radiators so if that you this is the how to guide.
You will reveive the guard in the size you asked for (max size applies) the edge trim and the zip ties/lockwire and sticker to secure.
How to order and buy a custom size radiator guard:
What you need- Tape Measure, Vice (can be done with out) tin snips (same style as pictured) tin snip on ebay can be picked up for £3-4 on ebay.
1.) Measure the height, and curvature from edge to edge, add 5mm to each for example 300mm H by 350mm W
2.) Purchase the item putting Height and width in the seller notes, maximum size is 42cm W by 33cm H (or visa versa)
3.) once item recieved, you need to trim to fit nice and tight, (but check first) this listing works on flat or curved radiators
4.) work out if you need to remove some rows off the top or bottom, usually an overhang is better as long as not getting in the way, use the tin snips to do this.
5.) trim some small amounts off one edge (you can always cut more off but you cant add it on!) make sure its straight
6.) cut a small curve on the corner and reapply the trim.
7.) test fit, it should clip in nice and tight.
8.) if too big remove trim and do steps 5 & 6 again
9.) place in vice and gently squeeze the trim so secures nicely, you may need to run your finger along the edges to make sure its flush to the metal.
Its not difficult if you take your time, you can secure many ways by watching the video below or searching ebay for the video.
If you require an oil cooler too, there is a seperate listing for that, images are in the pictures on the listing
Fitting Video Guide below covers every radiator style.
Instructions:I
No removal of the radiator is required:
The video covers the majority of styles and types of radiator guard but in essence:
1. Place the left hand edge of guard in the left side of the radiator, some radiators have a small recess which the guard butts in to.
2. Using your hand gently push the guard flat into the rad, the oposing edge is 1-2mm longer in some cases, larger than the area its going into and needs to be pushed past the edge so it makes a super tight compression fit.
3. Secure using the zip ties or locking wire as shown in the video, also a handy lockwiring photo reel below.
It really is that simple and easy, some guards need minimal securing as they are hand made to be nice and tight.
