- CNC machined from eastern red maple. A little bit of flame, mostly in the head stock. Roughed out and will require finish sanding for blending of edges and neck pocket fitment. I tried some new tool paths and cutting tools that resulted in some tear out on the thickest part on the back of the neck. If you are doing just a light sanding to clean up the machining marks, it is possible these torn out spots might not fully clean up. They can be made practically imperceptible if you filled them with some super glue before finishing.
- Designed for a 21 or overhanging 22 fret neck. Nominal dimensions are a 2 3/16" heel, 1 11/16" nut, and 9/16" head stock. Heel width is about 2.21" wide as machined.
- The truss rod slot is designed for a low profile StewMac Hotrod truss rod #2652 (not included!!!...you will need to purchase one!). All machining and drilling is done. All you have to do is buy one and drop it in.
- You can see the profile of the neck at roughly the 1st and 12th fret. Thickness is around 0.58" at the first fret and 0.61" at the 12th fret. After adding a 1/4" thick fret board the thickness would be about 0.83" and 0.86" respectively. The heel is 3/4" thick.
- Tuner holes designed for 10mm tuners. The holes out with a 10mm reamer so they are ready to accept tuners with no work to finish the tuner holes on your end.
