Up for bid with no reserve is a orginal Montreal Locomotive Works Limited builders plate construction number 65638 built January 1924 for the CNR Canadian National Railroad. Locomotive number 3575 class S2c 2-8-2.. Plate is cast iron and measuring 7 1/2" x 14" version. Locomotive had 63" drivers, boiler pressure 180lbs, cylinder size 27" x 30", tractive effort 53,000. Only 30 locomotives were built in this class. It was used in freight service till being replaced by diesel locomotives. The locomotive was scrapped between 1957-1961. Great condition as removed from the locomotive in orginal dirt. See pictures for condition. Ready for display. This is a nice builder's plate and is a great addition to any collection.
