About Us

• At CJ's Cameras we are photographer's 1st and are passionate about the cameras, lenses and accessories we offer, bringing to you a range of innovative camera accessories as well as used cameras and lenses that are thoroughly checked and serviced and warranted by our in-house technician.
• Each and every used camera and lens we receive is handed to our in-house technician who inspects, test and diagnoses any issues with the item.
• If the item is not, in his opinion, in a satisfactory condition to sell as is, it is tagged for further service, repair or restoration.
• Once any work is completed, we then assign to the item, one of 4 conditions based on the item's finished condition.
• Therefore, the second-hand cameras and lenses that we sell are quality tested, cleaned, serviced, repaired or restored before we ready each item for sale unless otherwise noted in the item description and sold in As-Is condition or for parts.

Storage

• Every lens that we sell is stored in a Dry Cabinet at 30% relative humidity until it is sold. Once sold, the lens is removed from the dry cabinet and packaged immediately and posted to you ASAP. In this way, we ensure that your lens is free from fungus when it arrived to you.

Payment

Payment options accepted

• Payment is required within 7 days of purchase via PayPal. You do not require a PayPal account to pay. PayPal accepts one off Visa and Mastercard payments.
• Cash payments are not available.

Payment time allowance

• We will wait up to 7 days after the conclusion of the sale for payment of an item. If you cannot make payment within 7 days, please notify us as soon as possible. If we don't hear from you, an unpaid item case will automatically be opened against your purchase.

Postage

• We aim to offer you the most reliable, flexible and cost-effective domestic postage option through our preferred shipping partner, Australia Post.
• We offer Flat Rate Domestic Postage on all items, which only varies on weight.
• We use our own box packaging so please DO NOT select Aust. Post Satchel or other alternatives to our standard postal service as this my delay shipping and tracking notifications.
• Combined Domestic Postage is automatically available on purchases of 2 or more items.

International Buyers - Please Note:

• Postage rates will vary depending on your country and parcel weight. We use Australia Post Economy Air for most items.
• Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer responsibility. Please check with your country customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.

Warranty

Each item we sell falls into 1 of 4 categories as follows -

1. For Parts or Repair - No warranty - SOLD AS IS - NO Returns

• These items have issues that we have detected with their function and have noted these issues in the item description provided to you in our eBay listing. These items are priced accordingly and are often great for DIY fans.

2. Arrived Fully Functioning -

• Cameras, lenses and accessories have been inspected, their shutter speeds and apertures and moving parts have been tested and found to be fully functioning and within manufacturer's tolerance's.
• No fungus or other age-related defect has been found.
• These items have not been fully dismantled or worked on internally and therefore we cannot give them our best warranty, but they do get our 6 Month Warranty.
• If your item fails to function as expected within 6 months of purchase, you can return the item to us for service or repair, postage not included.

3. Checked and Adjusted and now Fully Functioning -

• Cameras and lenses have been inspected and found to need some adjustment or other minor service like fungus removal etc.
• Our in-house technician has serviced the item and brought it back to working order and to within manufacturer's tolerances.
• Where fungus has been removed, there is always the likelihood of some residual makings to lens coatings. If an item has evidence of fungus having been removed, this will be noted in the product description.
• These items have been dismantled and serviced internally, and we can give them our 6 Month Warranty.
• If your item fails to function as expected within 6 months of purchase, you can return the item to us for service or repair, postage not included.

4. Full Restoration and now Fully Functioning -

• Cameras and lenses have been inspected and found to need more than just adjustments to operate correctly.
• Our in-house technician has dismantled and fully serviced the item brought it back to as close to new condition as possible.
• For cameras, this is a full CLA, where the internal and external light seals have been replaced, shutter mechanism cleaned, lubricated and adjusted and any other work required to make the camera run smoothly, so that it will not be in need of a service in the near future.
• For lenses, this is a full dismantling of the lens, replacing helicoid grease, adjusting apertures and focus to ensure that the lens is operating correctly and within manufacturer's tolerances.
• Where fungus has been removed, there is always the likely hood of some residual makings to lens coatings. If an item has evidence of fungus having been removed, this will be noted in the product description.
• These items have been fully dismantled and serviced internally, and we give them our 6 Month Warranty.
• If your item fails to function as expected within 6 months of purchase, you can return the item to us for service or repair, postage not included.

PLEASE NOTE: Often vintage lenses are adapted to fit onto Mirrorless Cameras, as we have no control over the quality or manufacturing tolerance of the adaptor that you chose to use, we cannot offer any warranty on the suitability of any lens we sell when used on 3rd party adaptors.

Return

• At CJ's Vintage Cameras, our number one priority is that you are happy with your purchase from us.
• That's why we offer a 30 day returns policy for peace of mind.
• If your item hasn't arrived, is significantly different to what was described in the listing or if there is a defect that we have not listed in the item description, you can request a refund up to 30 days from the actual or estimated delivery date. A full refund will be issued for the cost of the item including postage.
• We do not accept returns if you've changed your mind.

For items sold as is, for parts or repair, no returns are accepted.
