The side wings on the pad are thin to prevent chaffing on the legs. The padding is designed for the pressure point for comfort..The pad is 8" at it's widest point is the rear and it is 13.5" long. Sizes : one size fits all. This pad is QUALITY ALL THE WAY. Take out your old pad and resew the new pad into your short and make the shorts new again.
