Campagnolo Nuovo Record Axle set 134mm for a 6sp rear rear Campagnolo Nuovo Record hub. Note that by axle set it means you are getting the axle, cones, lockwashers, locknuts, and spacers for the rear hub (nothing for the front, just the rear). All the parts are factory fresh New Old Stock. The stock spacer with the axle (for the 5sp) is around 4.5mm. You'll get a spacer or two in addition to that one which will allow you to get up to 10 to 11mm which you'll need for setting up as 6sp.
These parts are true Nuovo Record. We see folks selling the later Victory version of this for nearly $200 on ebay - none of that crazy pricing here. And note the nice polish of the cones, truly the Campy goodness we all love!
In case you want to go with a 5sp spacing, you'll need to be sure that there isn't too much axle sticking out, you might need to trim.
Also note that 134mm is the minimal length axle you need for setting up a 6sp. If you're setting up something more than 126.6mm wide, you'll need a longer ale. The 134mm works swell for 6sp with typical Campagnolo dropouts. If you're frame has some kind of monster-thick dropouts, you should probably look for a longer axle. But again, for wide 6sp, a 134mm axle is swell. The photos show how much axle is showing when the locknuts are at 126.5mm locknut-to-locknut.
This item is perfect for that old Cinelli, Masi, Hetchins, Reynolds 531 or Columbus SL bicycle that you have.
This item will be great for that vintage lightweight bicycle that you may be displaying at Classic Bicycles Auburn in June 2024 in Auburn Indiana at the famous Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum
The fine print:
It is the responsibility of the buyer to determine if an item purchased from us is safe for use. Many items, especially vintage items, are best for display-only due to metal fatigue, other degradation from time, and vintage designs that were not subject to modern testing. If you purchase an item from us and you make a determination that the item is not safe for use, contact us for a replacement or refund. But don't use this reason is you simply changed your mind about your need for the item. You take care of us, and we take care of you!
This item is being sold by Boulder Bicycle. We "failed retirement" and once again are in the vintage bicycle parts business. The staff at Boulder Bicycle has been selling vintage Campagnolo Nuovo Record and Super Record parts since the early 1990's!
Note that while we failed retirement, we do plan to keep the business somewhat low key. For now, we only ship orders on Wednesday of each week. We will adjust the epected shipping times accordingly. So order on the weekend and shipping is fast, order Wednesday night or later, and the order won't ship until the following Wednesday. We are tempted to change our business name to "Wednesday Vintage Bicycle Parts" but for now we'll stick with Boulder Bicycle.
Do not ask us to report a lower-than-actual value for items shipped internationally. It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay all customs/vat/import fees. And please don't get mad at us if the postal service is slow - we take pride on getting your order packaged carefully and shipped on Wednesday. If the postal service is slow or has other issues, we'll help with tracking and moral support, but we aren't the postmaster.
-------A note about pricing - if we are interested in accepting offers for an item, we will enable price or "best offer" in the listing. Otherwise, do not message us to ask if we will accept a lower price. We review our pricing regularly and make changes based on product availability and market conditions.
You will notice many of our prices are much lower than other sellers for similar items. We try to keep things fun and informative and fair for everyone.
Unfortunately, we are getting older and grumpier as time goes on - sorry about that. So if you ask us if we will accept a lower price on an item that does not have "best offer" enabled, we may block you as a bidder. Now we have to go yell at a kid to get off our lawn......
